akikai was founded as a creative streetwear project based in Istanbul, Turkey. Rather than printing quick designs on blank garments, we wanted to create "wearable art". We set out to specialize in detailed, rich embroidery. Every piece of clothing acts as a canvas for our graphic-heavy concepts. To maintain absolute control over the quality of our craftsmanship, the brand operates from its dedicated facility in Istanbul. This allows us to inspect every stitch and use premium heavy fabrics (450+ GSM cotton). We operate on a "drop" model, releasing limited items at specific times. Once a drop sells out, it is archived and never reproduced. This slow-fashion approach keeps our designs unique and highly sought after by our community around the globe.
